A Bachelor's Degree is an undergraduate, often a first, degree, normally
requiring at least four years of full-time study. The degree requires completion
of a specified number of credits including a specified number of credits from
particular sets of courses or at a particular level. Bachelor's Degrees are the
basic undergraduate degrees offered by four-year colleges and universities,
depending upon the required program of study. A Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA)
requires that a portion of the study be devoted to the arts such as languages,
literature, music, etc., while a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) requires more
mathematics and science curriculum. A Bachelor's Degree can be a terminal degree
or it can be a step on the road to earning a higher degree, such as a Master's
degree, or a PhD or doctoral degree. . . © COPYRIGHT 2006 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED BUSINESS DIRECTORY |
