Bachelor's degree

A Bachelor's Degree is an undergraduate, often a first, degree, normally requiring at least four years of full-time study. The degree requires completion of a specified number of credits including a specified number of credits from particular sets of courses or at a particular level. Bachelor's Degrees are the basic undergraduate degrees offered by four-year colleges and universities, depending upon the required program of study. A Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) requires that a portion of the study be devoted to the arts such as languages, literature, music, etc., while a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) requires more mathematics and science curriculum. A Bachelor's Degree can be a terminal degree or it can be a step on the road to earning a higher degree, such as a Master's degree, or a PhD or doctoral degree.

If you choose to pursue a Bachelor's Degree, research your options carefully. There are many universities and programs to choose from, as well as many different types of degree offerings. By researching thoroughly, you can find the program that suits your needs best.
